IRC, or Internet Relay Chat for long, is a way to communicate on the net. There are many servers out there that allow people to make channels and chat with people all over the world. I usually go to irc.qdeck.com or irc.dal.net! The name of the channel I'm always at is called #Wind'sPlace. Above is the banner I use for my channel! This banner can only be seen if you use the Global Chat software provided by prospero.com. I use mIRC which is a more effective tool. Although it lacks the nice banner feature, it is equipped with tools that allow you to send and receive files while chatting, and supports sounds allowing users to play a .wav files. Sounds can be played and heard by all parties who own the .wav file played. Below is a list of all my friends on this IRC thing!
(For those of you whom I have forgotten, Too bad! Not! I probably just dropped one of my lists under my desk!)
